The Colosseum:it is the largest amphitheater in the Roman world. The outer wall reached almost 50 meters in height (like a 16-storey building!), the length was 188 meters, the width 156 meters and some scholars claim that it could accommodate around 50,000 spectators.
The Pantheon: it is certainly the most representative monument of Roman architecture and its conservation (like other pagan temples) is due to its transformation into a church, precisely in the decisive moment of the transition from the ancient and pagan city to the new and Christian city.
The Trevi Fountain: it was built in 19 BC. when the consul Marco Vipsanio Agrippa brought the Acqua Vergine to the city, named in honor of the girl who showed the soldiers the source. The fountain represented the final point of the aqueduct, but it was not as majestic as we see it today.
Piazza Navona: it is one of the most famous monumental squares in Rome, built in monumental style by the Pamphili family at the behest of Pope Innocent
Sant'Angelo castel: also called Hadrian's mausoleum, it is a monument of Rome, located on the right bank of the Tiber in front of the pons Aelius, a short distance from the Vatican, between the Borgo and Prati districts; it is connected to the Vatican State through the fortified corridor of the "passetto"
